A winner of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) for best adapted screenplay, today was the Australian release date for ‘The Sum of Us‘, which starred Jack Thompson, Russell Crowe and (future director) John Polson. (Side Note: A seven-year-old Crowe appeared opposite Thompson in an episode of the Australian TV series ‘Spyforce’).
But I digress-
IMDB describes ‘The Sum of Us‘ as:
A widowed father has to deal with two complex issues: while he is searching for “Miss Right,” his son, who is in his 20s and gay, is searching for “Mr. Right.”
It’s both a funny movie and a poignant one, another of those lesser known Crowe films familiar to his fans, but unknown to others. But it’s a definite must-see.
