According to some sources, today is the birthday of Kal-El, son of Jor-El and Lara, but actually, this would be his Earth birthday, not his Kryptonian one because I’m not sure we know his Kryptonian date of birth. At any rate, it was on this date that the future Clark Kent, aka Man of Steel, aka Superman, was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent. Hence, we call it his birthday…kind of! 

Today was also the birthday of Superman voice actor Bud Collyer, which is a pretty good bit of irony.
