On this date twenty-seven years ago, the romantic drama, The Shining, was released in Australia, directed by George Ogilvie and starring Russell Crowe, Robert Mammone and Danielle Spencer.

Set in the early 1960’s, it is the story of one young man (Mammone) who returns to his hometown where his ex-girlfriend (Spencer) is now involved with his best friend (Crowe).
