TINA has been in love with British history, particularly the Tudor era, since she was in the second grade. She considers herself an Anglophile, and although she is from the Southern United States, born and bred, each visit to England feels like another trip home. She has been passionate about reading since she was little, and she enjoys anything from light romances to the classics to English history and World War II. Movies are her main passion thanks to her maternal grandmother and her mother, and after seeing her first film at the movies when she was about four, she was hooked. Her love for them range from the silent movie era, to the Golden Age of the 1930’s, to Biblical epics, musicals, classics and action heroes; among her current top favorites are Master and Commander: the Far Side of the World, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Ten Commandments, The Godfather Parts I and II (there was NEVER a third movie LOL), Gladiator, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, Metropolis, The Right Stuff, Singing in the Rain, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Ben-Hur, The Adventures of Robin Hood and The Sea Hawk (both with Errol Flynn), Laura, the original King Kong, Sunrise, The Seven Samurai, Rashomon, The Avengers, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
She loves cooking, opera, travel, Pinterest and Sephora; she’s a sucker for British murder mysteries; she loves the Marvel Cinematic Universe; she’s learning about Steampunk; she’s become an anime fan over the last year thanks to Sailor Moon Crystal, Naruto and Death Note. She became a fan of Russell Crowe when Gladiator was released, but confesses that she now tends to have Tom Hiddleston and Chris Evans on the brain (a lot)!
And now that she’s had a chance to retire at a young age – after more than two decades as a real life crime scene technician, she has returned to another of her passions: writing. She has been part of the Gaslight world since 2000.
